Challenge
The Australian Building Codes Board (ABCB) was facing the challenge of having their climate zone maps stored in PDF format, which made it difficult to analyze and use the data effectively. They needed a solution to digitize the maps and create interactive, user-friendly web maps.
Solution
GIS People provided their expertise in GIS to digitize the climate zone maps into ESRI shapefiles and geodatabases. We created interactive web maps with Australian coastline, local government area (LGA), and climate zone boundaries, as well as an address search function. The maps provided a great user experience and high performance by utilizing vector maps.
