GIS People Recognised as Finalist for 2017 Microsoft Partner of the Year Awards
We are delighted to announce that GIS People has been named a finalist in the 2017 Microsoft Partner of the Year Awards! The company was honoured among a global field of top Microsoft partners for demonstrating excellence in innovation and implementation of customer solutions based on Microsoft technology.
GIS People’s Founder, Igor Stjepanovic, says “When GIS People was conceived back in 2010, my vision was to help decision makers in any organisation understand and harness the power of location intelligence. Seven years on, the success stories from many of our customers combined with this amazing award from Microsoft are strong validation of our early drivers. This year has already been massive for our business, but with our imminent expansion into the US market from June 2017, and this remarkable acknowledgement from Microsoft, we are very excited to see what lies ahead.”
Awards were presented in several categories, with winners chosen from a set of more than 2,800 entrants from 115 countries worldwide. GIS People was recognised for providing outstanding solutions and services to government customers in the Public Sector: Government Award.
Being a Finalist for the Public Sector: Government Award gives GIS People recognition as a Microsoft partner whose solutions are a strong reflection of Microsoft’s cloud-first, mobile-first vision. This award acknowledges organisations who have deep industry knowledge and expertise, and who deliver consistent, high-quality services and solutions to their Government customers. GIS People has been selected for this award due to successful delivery of their flagship product Gruntify to government customers – particularly for natural disaster relief management and civic issue management. Gruntify is built on the Microsoft Azure cloud.
“We are honored to recognise GIS People of Australia as a Microsoft Partner of the Year,” said Ron Huddleston corporate vice president, One Commercial Partner, Microsoft Corp. “GIS People is a prime example of the expertise and innovation we see in our Microsoft partner community to deliver transformative solutions.”
The Microsoft Partner of the Year Awards recognise Microsoft partners that have developed and delivered exceptional Microsoft-based solutions during the past year.
Microsoft Australia’s Mark Leigh, Director for the Small and Midmarket Solutions and Partners, says, “Our partners are our lifeblood – crafting innovative yet pragmatic solutions using Microsoft technologies that are transforming the way our clients operate today, and positioning them for a successful tomorrow. We know our local partners are world class and that’s why we are so delighted that eight local partners – out of a field of 2,800 applicants from 115 countries – have been named finalists in their categories – congratulations to GIS People for being selected as finalist in the Public Sector: Government Partner of the Year category.”
GIS People will be attending the Microsoft Inspire conference in Washington DC next month to celebrate with other Finalists and Winners.
