GIS People at LGAQ 2013

GIS People this week had a great time at the Local Government Association of Queensland (LGAQ) Annual Conference in Cairns.

Running from Monday 21st to Thursday 24th October, the conference was attended by delegates from federal, state and local government, including Lord Mayors, CEOs and councillors from most Queensland councils, and Premier of Queensland Campbell Newman.

We greatly enjoyed this well-attended event, and received lots of interest in both our consultancy work and our new training venture, GIS College. We would like to thank everyone who stopped by for a chat and we look forward to connecting with you again in the future.

Congratulations goes to Councillor Carol Taylor from Toowoomba Regional Council, the lucky winner of our TomTom SatNav door prize. Thank you to everyone who entered the draw, better luck next time!

Also huge thanks to the LGAQ Conference staff for looking after us – they were a pleasure to work with, and highly supportive and helpful throughout the event.
