GIS People is a Microsoft Australia Partner Awards 2017 Finalist!

Here at GIS People, we are thrilled to announce that we have been selected as a Microsoft Australia Partner Awards 2017 finalist in the Optimise Your Operations category for our Queensland Government submission.

The Microsoft Australia Partner Awards recognise Microsoft technologies that relate to cloud technologies, sales excellence, entrepreneurial spirit and highlighting the great work done by Partners in the public sector and citizenship arenas.

GIS People had submitted under Gruntify and the work that our Azure-based software did for the Queensland Government’s Rapid Damage Assessment with Tropical Cyclone Debbie. Gruntify was used to collect evidence of the cyclone damage, document it and prepare reports so that recovery and reconstruction activities could then be expedited. This proved to Microsoft on how Gruntify was used to help government organisations transform, and how Microsoft solutions help optimise our day to day operations

“We are thrilled to join the ranks of some of Australia’s most creative companies and be shortlisted by Microsoft out of an incredibly strong field of entrants. The latest recognition comes on top of GIS People being selected as Finalists in Microsoft Worldwide Partner Awards earlier this year in Washington DC. I would like to thank my staff for their amazing work, as well as thank our customer and partner – Queensland Government – for such an innovative application of our technology to rapid damage assessment, post Cyclone Debbie natural disaster,” said Igor Stjepanovic, Founder and CEO of GIS People.

The winners will be announced at the Microsoft Partner Summit in Sydney on the 14th of November. We look forward to attending the Summit and celebrating with the other finalists.
